We recently carried out a full replacement of the fascia, soffit and guttering on all three sides of a lower-level annexe in Harlow. The existing roofline had seen better days, so we took it all off – fascia, soffit, guttering and downpipes – to expose the rafter feet underneath.
Once we’d taken everything back, we checked the rafter feet and repaired any that were showing signs of rot. This gave us a solid base to work from and meant the new fascia would have a proper fixing.
The new fascia was 18mm rosewood uPVC – a smart, low-maintenance choice that gives a clean finish. For the soffit, we fitted 10mm white uPVC. The whole setup is ventilated at the eaves to help keep airflow steady in the roof space, and we added drip trays and bird combs where needed.
We replaced the guttering and downpipes with brown square-style uPVC, which looks great against the rosewood fascia and ties in nicely with the rest of the property.
Everything was fitted using our own access equipment, and we left the place clean and tidy, taking all the old materials away with us. The whole job was wrapped up in one day.
The customer now has a 10-year guarantee on the roofline, plus our number saved for life in case they ever need anything else.
