This recent roofline job in Sawbridgeworth involved a full replacement of the fascia, soffit and guttering to both the front and rear of the property. The existing roofline had reached the end of its life, so everything was stripped back to allow a proper inspection and solid fixings throughout.
The original fascia, soffit and guttering were carefully removed, along with all downpipes. This exposed the rafter feet so their condition could be checked properly. Any timber showing signs of rot was repaired before new materials were fitted, giving a sound base and avoiding problems further down the line.
Once the preparation work was complete, the property was fitted with new 18mm white uPVC fascia boards and 10mm white uPVC soffit boards. The fascia was fully ventilated at the eaves to support airflow through the roof space. Drip trays and bird combs were added where required to guide rainwater into the guttering and help prevent birds getting under the tiles.
The guttering system was upgraded at the same time using black deepflow guttering with matching black round downpipes. This type of guttering is well suited to modern homes and offers improved capacity during periods of heavy rain.
All work was completed using our own access equipment, allowing the installation to be carried out safely and efficiently. The site was left tidy once finished, with all waste materials removed from the property.
