Replacement fascia, soffit and guttering work was completed to the upper elevations of a property in Bishop’s Stortford using anthracite grey uPVC roofline products.
The existing fascia, soffits, guttering and all necessary downpipes were removed to expose the rafter feet and allow the new roofline system to be installed properly.
Removing the Existing Roofline
As part of the installation, all existing fascia boards, soffits and guttering were removed from the main house upper elevations.
Once removed, the rafter feet were exposed so they could be checked before the new roofline was fitted. Any rotten rafter ends were repaired where necessary to provide a solid fixing for the new installation.
This preparation work helps ensure the new fascia and soffit system is securely installed.
Installing New Fascia and Soffits
The property was fitted with new 18mm anthracite grey uPVC fascia boards along with matching 10mm anthracite grey uPVC soffits.
All fascia boards were ventilated at the eaves, with drip trays and bird combs fitted where required during the installation.
The anthracite grey finish gave the property a more modern appearance while replacing the older roofline system with new low-maintenance uPVC materials.
Replacing Guttering and Downpipes
The guttering system was also replaced as part of the work.
New grey square guttering was installed to match the fascia and soffit colour, creating a consistent finish across the upper elevations of the property.
All necessary downpipes connected to the replaced sections were included within the installation.
The work was completed using SM Roofline’s own access equipment.
Once the installation had been completed, all rubbish was removed from site and the property was left clean and tidy.
Finished Result
The completed installation provided the property with a full new anthracite grey roofline system across the upper elevations of the main house.
Along with updating the appearance of the property, the work included new fascia ventilation, replacement guttering and any necessary repairs to the exposed rafter feet before installation.
The customer also received a 10-year guarantee on the roofline installation along with SM Roofline’s “number for life” service, meaning any future problems or concerns can be dealt with directly.
