This project involved a full roofline replacement to three sides of a residential property in Barnet. The work covered the removal and replacement of fascia, soffit and guttering, along with all associated downpipes.
The existing roofline was carefully stripped back first. All old fascia, soffit and guttering were removed to expose the rafter feet. This allowed the condition of the timber to be properly checked before any new materials were fitted. Where any rafter ends showed signs of rot, repairs were carried out so the new roofline had a solid and reliable fixing.
Once the preparation work was complete, the new roofline was installed. High-quality 18mm white uPVC fascia boards were fitted throughout, paired with 10mm white uPVC soffit boards. Ventilation was added at the eaves to allow airflow through the roof space. Drip trays were installed where required to help guide water into the guttering, and bird combs were fitted where needed to reduce the risk of birds entering beneath the tiles.
The guttering system was also replaced in full. Black round guttering and matching downpipes were fitted to tie in with the front of the property and give a clean, consistent finish across all elevations.
Safe access was an important part of this job. Full scaffolding was required at the rear of the property to allow safe and efficient access above the rear extension. The remaining elevations were completed using our own access equipment, keeping disruption to a minimum while maintaining safe working practices.
Once the installation was finished, the site was left tidy and all waste materials were removed from the property.
