This project was carried out at a residential property in Bishops Stortford and involved replacing the fascia, soffit and guttering to both the front and rear of the main house, along with the lower level front and rear of the garage. The work also included the replacement of the mock Tudor boards at the front of the property.
Removing the Existing Roofline
All existing fascia, soffit and guttering were fully removed, including all necessary downpipes.
This allowed access to the rafter feet so they could be checked properly. Where any sections were found to be affected by rot, repairs were carried out to ensure a solid fixing for the new installation.
Installing New Fascia and Soffits
The new roofline was installed using rosewood uPVC materials to match the existing style of the property.
An 18mm fascia board was fitted along with a 10mm soffit, providing a strong and consistent finish across both the house and garage.
All fascia boards were ventilated at the eaves to support airflow. Drip trays and bird combs were also fitted where required as part of the installation.
Replacing Guttering and Downpipes
The guttering system was fully replaced with brown square guttering, along with new downpipes.
This ensures effective drainage across the property and a consistent appearance alongside the new fascia and soffit.
Mock Tudor Board Replacement
As part of the work, the mock Tudor boards at the front of the property were replaced using rosewood materials.
This helps maintain the character of the property while keeping everything consistent with the new roofline installation.
Access and Installation Process
The work was completed using SM Roofline’s own access equipment.
All areas were kept clean and tidy throughout the job, with all waste materials removed from site once the installation was complete.
Finished Result
The completed work provides a clean and consistent finish across the front and rear of the property, including the garage.
With new fascia, soffit, guttering and mock Tudor boards in place, the roofline is now fully renewed and built to last.
The customer also received a 10-year guarantee on the roofline installation, along with ongoing support if needed in the future.
