New Hardie Plank fibre cement cladding was installed at a property in Matching Tye, transforming the upper elevations of the home with a modern black finish.
The project included the installation of a breathable membrane, 25mm insulation, 25mm battens and new Hardie Plank cladding boards across the rear and side elevations of the property. The completed installation gave the property a much cleaner and more contemporary appearance while complementing the existing black guttering and roofline.
Preparation and Installation
Before the new cladding was installed, a breathable membrane was fitted to the upper elevations of the property. A framework of 25mm battens and 25mm insulation was then installed to create the base for the new cladding system.
Access equipment was used to safely carry out the work across the upper elevations. Once the preparation work had been completed, the new black Hardie Plank fibre cement cladding boards were fitted across the rear and side walls, together with matching trims and finishing details around the windows, corners and roofline areas.
The new cladding completely changed the appearance of the upper half of the property and created a striking contrast against the existing brickwork below.
Finished Result
The completed Hardie Plank cladding installation gave the property a much more modern and uniform finish while covering the original rendered upper elevations.
The black fibre cement cladding works well alongside the existing roof tiles, black guttering and white windows, helping to update the overall appearance of the property from the outside.
