As the year comes to a close, the team at SM Roofline wanted to share a quick message before we take a well-earned break for Christmas. It’s been a full year of roofline work across Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas, with plenty of projects in places like Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford, Epping, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Ongar, Enfield, Braintree, Saffron Walden and Romford. From fascia and soffit replacements to gutter repairs, flat roofing, cladding and new uPVC windows and doors, the variety has kept us busy from the first week of January through to now.
We’ve seen everything this year from tired timber fascias that needed replacing, to guttering that had shifted during storms, to flat roofs in need of GRP or EPDM work. There’s been a steady run of repairs and upgrades, and it’s been good to help so many homes stay safe, tidy and weather-ready. A lot of people have also chosen to update their uPVC windows and doors, which always makes a clear difference to both insulation and the look of the property. It’s been a proper mix of small and large projects, and we appreciate every single person who has trusted us with their home.
We’ll now be taking a short break for the holiday season. The ladders are staying in the van, the tools are packed away, and the team will be back out on the road in January.
Winter often brings a few familiar issues across homes in Essex and Hertfordshire, from gutters that start to drip or overflow, through to cracked soffits or loose fascia boards. Flat roofs can also show signs of ageing during colder months, so spotting anything early always helps keep things steady. Once we’re back in January, we’ll continue with the usual repairs and replacements across rooflines, cladding, GRP and EPDM flat roofing, guttering, fascia and soffit work, as well as uPVC windows and doors.
